Sehmat means “agreed”.
सहमत, in Hindi and Urdu, is what a person says when they agree. We built Sehmat so that every agreement is clear to the person who gives it, and provable by the organisation that asks for it.

Sehmat is a product of Blue Pencil Strategies Private Limited, based in Mumbai. Blue Pencil brings technology and advisory support to organisations working on social development goals.
We help organisations make decisions with data, reach people at the grassroots, and plan programs that make the most of every rupee. Our own products grew out of that work.

Why we built Sehmat
Born inside real programs.
Programs on Tashi collect consent in the field, often on paper and in local languages, through apps like Vayam and Lekha. Sehmat started as the consent service for that work.
We then built it out for organisations across India that ask people for consent, online or on paper. Today Tashi, Vayam and Lekha collect consent and re-consent through Sehmat.
